Under contract with the U.S. Air Force, Radix developed a system for covert, jam-resistant communications using blindly-adapted receiver arrays and directive transmit beamformers.
Some features of this technology include:
- Supports point-to-point and point-to-multi-point applications
- Flexible, modular spread spectrum waveform coupled with adaptive beamforming
- A combination of stacked carrier and OFDM provide a flexible, multi-path tolerant waveform with high spectral efficiency
- Frequency reuse of 1
- Packetized data transmission
- Operates in the presence of interference
This robust, high-efficiency communications airlink led to a collaboration between Radix and a large telecommunications company on a fixed wireless application. This technology can also be adapted to emerging battlefield communications requirements, as well as other commercial wireless applications.
